It has been raining for almost two weeks and it finally cleared up. The weather has been beautiful again and the leaves are just starting to change. Everyone keeps telling us that fall has come really late this year. We are not complaining. It is starting to get gorgeous! Holly and I decided to take the kids out to the zoo yesterday. It is one of the smaller zoos that I have been to, but it was perfect for the kids. We had so much fun.
The animal that the kids found themselves most impressed with was a gigantic condor. The bird had a wingspan of 10 feet and he was holding it out the whole time we watched him. Davie kept saying "Wow!" It was very cool.I wanted to add one last sweet story. It was one of those rewarding moments in parenting. Gracie woke up the other night scared. She does that a lot lately with all of the talk of Halloween, etc. I don't think she is really all that scared, but likes to talk about it a lot. I held her and we cuddled and sang songs. When you hug Grace she rubs your back and it is so sweet. She was rubbing my back and she says, "Your my best friend Mom." Aww. It was a very nice moment.
