Will this house ever be done??

So there are definitely days when I feel as if this house will never be finshed. Right now I am working really hard on the kitchen. As you can see it is certainly a work in progress. I have now peeled off seven layers of wallpaper. And Dan has removed the random smattering of faux bricks. Next we have a small, mismatched section of tile on the wall. So often I ask myself, what were these people thinking?
On a regular basis I dream of being Samantha from Bewtiched. I would give almost anything to be able to wiggle my nose and have it all done. Alas, that is not going to happen, so I guess I better get back to prepping the walls while the kids are sleeping. I guess this will all be worth it someday?!
(The first picture I added just because Davie is so cute and the kitchen is so ugly. It all needed a little contrast.)

I wish I had a house. We feel your pain though, those fixer uppers are a lot of work. And especially while you are pregnant.

Oh I totally feel your pain!! Just keep the "finished rooms" in your mind while you are working on this one--it will look as great when you are done. It just takes so much time and effort. Let me know if we can do anything for you...

I can sooooo relate! We just finished painting our kitchen cupboards (which I swore I'd never do, but eventually just got crazy enough to start it). It was such a fiasco, and a horrendous project, but now it looks fantastic! And as far as "what were they thinking?!" goes, I ask myself that on almost a daily basis as well in our house. 18 months later, we're almost done obliterating any trace of the former owner's bad taste and poor workmanship. Good riddance! And by the way, everything you guys have done so far looks so great- it will all be worth it.

Keep going! Houses are never-ending projects. New or old, they always need work (something I'm sure you're so excited to hear right about now, huh?). They're great investments though. Keep up the good work!

Amazing- Heather! I just cannot get over how ambitious you are as a pregnant lady. I usually lay on the couch for 9 months. I know your house will all look fab one of these days soon. Good luck!
