A Very Merry Unbirthday and Cyclops Davie

Grace's school gave the kids with summer birthdays a chance to celebrate theirs early. We chose the first day possible because hopefully this baby will make her appearance soon and I will be unavailable for making cupcakes and such. Grace had so much fun making cupcakes with me. We stole the idea from my sis-in-law Stacey and made little lady bug cupcakes. I was bored about two cupcakes in, but twenty-four later we were finally done.

Here is Grace, ready for a grand adventure. She packs up all sort of miscellaneous things on a daily basis and sets off on adventures. I think she has her mom and dad's wanderlust.

In keeping with our eventful life's David woke up the other morning with his eye completely swollen shut. I was pulled out of sleep hearing Grace say to David, "Oh, look at your eye...let's take you to the doctor." He did look pretty funny. By the time I finally took this picture, it was already looking much better. Poor David kept running into things as he ran around to play. I couldn't help but laugh a little.

We went to the doctor and within 24 hours he was pretty much back to his normal self. Which is really a little frightening. I think I am raising a little criminal. A few days ago David and I were leaving to pick Grace up from school. I let him out of the house and he ran straight to his playhouse. I followed him and knocked on the door. The next thing I know I see Davie diving out the back window without hesitation and running the other direction. What kind of one-year-old is already that good at escaping? I see more ER visits, and possibly police visits in our future.

this is too funny...davie sounds a lot like my older brother as a kid....he would ride his big wheel at age 3 down the the church..that was like 6 blocks away..there were many police calls on that kid..

Your cupcakes are ten times cuter than mine were! Way to go Miss Talent! I do have to agree that after a couple it's not so fun anymore. I can't believe how much Grace is growing. She is just so adorable.

Glad to see Davy is still up to his mischeivious ways. Can't wait for him and Katelyn to think up all sorts of things to hurt themselves with...

You are so cute! I love the cupcakes. I always feel like such a lazy mom when I see what you do for your kids and all the work you've done on your house. Next time you are in Utah please give me a call because I want to see you and your cute kids!
