Curse Genetics

Now you might be wondering at the title of this post, because despite mine and Dan's genetics, Charlotte turned out gorgeous :) I would agree with you wholeheartedly on that point...she's the kind of baby who's cheeks I can't stop kissing. However, if you take a closer look at the second and third pictures you will notice two sharp little teeth. Those were quickly followed by two more. And she's only seven months!! My kids have all gotten teeth at three months and I blame this entirely on Dan's genes. Early teeth are no fun, especially when nursing. Ouch.

Considering her dad had all of his teeth by 6 months, you have every reason to blame it on him. He sat up at 4 months, had a mouthfull of teeth and not one strand of hair on his head. He looked like a little old man, so Charlotte has that on him, she is a beautiful baby.

Evie did the same thing! Now she's working on 7 and 8. It's like we have to relearn how to nurse every time she gets a new tooth... I'll be happy when these next two come in and she stops chewing on me!

Megan, Tyler, and Emily also had the wonderful mouthful by 9 months. One advantage is that they fall out sooner and now Megan's braces will be off before most kids her age even see the orthodontist. At least we won't have orthodontist payments and teen-age car insurance at the same time.

I hope it works out with your brother and his family staying with us. I know my kids would love to host some little kids if even only for the night.

well...my girl's are a little slow at developing teeth. Sarah is 10 months and still doesn't have any. On the positive side at least table foods are a little less scary??? Now that I think about Nope, it that just stinks. I am so sorry for your tender flesh.

Heather how do you know Kristin? She was one of my favorite people in Utah, we lived in the same house (sep. apartments). I laughed when I clicked on her blog awards and came to your site. We're at kahmannskorner.blogspot.com! -Cherie
