Nine years in the making...

As most of you know, Dan and I met while on a humanitarian trip in Guatemala. While poking through the markets we found these gigantic hammocks that supposedly could hold a whole family. We both thought they were cool and bought one. (Little did we know we could have saved money and just bought one :)) Anyway, since we have been married we have packed these hammocks with us everywhere we moved, but never found a spot for them. Finally the day has come! After much hard work in the backyard, clearing poison ivy, planting grass, etc. We finally have the perfect spot for our hammock.

What a gorgeous view! We lay under this tree that provides a perfect canopy of shade, and even light rain protection.

The kids love swinging us (and being swung) it is their new favorite toy.

Do you think they meant a family of five?

Snuggling with daddy.

While his face looks a little pained, this is actually Dan's idea of heaven.

We always had a hammock in the backyard, and it really was our favorite thing as well. Be warned though, we went through quite a few hammocks. :)
