A week of firsts

Just a side note, I finally updated our blog from the summer, so those interested and brave can scroll through the next few pages of blogs. Oh yeah, there are a lot.

This has been quite the week for our little family. Grace had her first day of Kindergarten. David had his first day of Preschool. And I had my first day of Grad School. I have asked myself many times, what are we thinking? But all in all, the first week went pretty well, and we are excited to start this new phase in our lives. Grace and David both go to the same school and so it is fun to know that they will see each other on the playground and to hear them relate stories about each other at school. Gracie came home telling me about Davie going potty and then coming back into his classroom totally naked. She concludes this story with the teacher saying "oh my." Oh my indeed.

The fruit we picked and bottled on Monday.

On the way to school. Grace in booster and Charlotte in her new seat. She is so excited to be out of the infant seat she can't stand it!

Grace's second day and Davie's first day. (He only goes two days a week.)

Grace showing off her work from her first day.

Her fancy new dress from Grandma.

Aren't recently-filled canning jars all-in-a-row so perfect? What did women do before they had cameras to capture that amazing scene?
